The primary purpose of the Cosmetology course is to train students in both theory and practical experience, which will prepare them for immediate employment opportunities. The Course is particularity directed toward developing in the student desirable habits and attitudes with respect to health, sanitation and safety and encourages self-reliance, readiness to assist others, and an ethical approach to this profession.

The primary purpose of the Instructor Training course is to train Instructors in both theory and practical methods of teaching in order to employ them immediately as an instructor at a licensed cosmetology school. The Course is specifically designed to develop integrity and ethics and desirable work habits and attitudes with respect to health, sanitation and safety and encourages self-reliance, readiness to assist others, and an ethical approach to this profession.
